G-MAN WOUNDED
Gun Battle with Bank Robbers ARRESTED LATER (Reeeived 19, 9.45 a.m.) TOP3EKA (Eansas), April 17. A G-man was critically wounded and a bystander injured in an attempt to arrest a suspected bank robber. Agent Baker and thres associates trailed three suspects here and for several days waited at the registry wind'ow qf the post oflSce in the expectation the robber would appear to claim a package. The suspect finally arrived and the postal clerk signalled Baker, who ordered his surrender. The suspect 'a accompKce in the background opened fire, hitting Baker four times. The G-men then returned the fire, bnt the robbers escaped through a side door, fleeing in their own motor-csr. The robbers were captured by a sheriff and oue deputy at Plattsmouth, Nebraska, after their car had struck. a deep hole in the street and nearly overturned. The officers, who had been following the robbers for ten miles, drew their gans and commanded their surrender. The robbers were handcuffed without resistance., Mr. Edgar Hoover, head oi the G-men, said the robbers were Gerald Lewis and Bobert Huhayh, of New York,
