RUGBY FOOTBALL

Hastings Games To-morrow The second series of Rugby football matches in the, first round will be played at Nelson Park, Hastings, to-mor-row, commencing at 3 p.m. On No- 1 ground Havelock North will meet Technical O.B. in the main attraction, and a first-rate game can be expected. Last Saturday the Villagers nearly lowered the colours of Old Boys, and this being their second outing this season, they will be out to open their championship points. In the Technical team one or two new faces will be s'een, and it is hard to judge their form until seen in action. As in the past, no doubt they will play the open game with the result in doubt to the finish. On No. 2 ground, M.A.C. and Celtic will clash, and a great battle between these two teams will be seen. The Maoris, led by Reid, Jackson and Greening, will be all out to amend their defeat of last week. Celtic, last year's winners of the Hastings section, will be at full strength, and with these two evenly matched teams a very evengame can be expected with the result in doubt to the end. For the early arrivals there will be two junior games, commencing at 1.30 between Old Boys and Haumoana on No. 1 ground and Celtic and M.A.C. on No. 2 ground.
