Hastings Man Slightly Hurt accident in napier • Minor injuries were received by the driver of a caf which collided witli a train at the Hastings street level crossig, Napier, at an early hour this morning. He wais removed to the Napier Public Hospital, but was later discharged. The car, driven by Mr. F. S. Eose, of 108 Davis street, Hastings, approached the crossing in semi darkness at 3.45 a.m. A meat special was coming from Tomoana, and the car collided with it. Fortunately the train was proceeding at a very slow speed, and although the driver of the car was cut and bruised in the impact, he was not tieriously hurt. The car was damaged slightly, a? was the engine. After trcatment at the hospital the driver was discharged at 9 o'clock this morning.
