ELSTHORPE MEETING
The monthly meeting of the Elsthorpe Women 's Institute was held on Thursday, Mre O. Williams presiding over a good attendance of members. One new tnember was enrolled. Much interest was taken in a report given by Miss Bell Priest, who was a delegate to the Federation meeting held at Waipukurau, and she was given a hearty vote of thanks by the members. Later in the afternoon Mrs Warren, of Pukehou, gave a most interesting travel talk which all members enjoyed very much. ' The competitions for the afternoon resulted as followst Three dahlias, distinct, Mrs Gilmour i and 2, Mrs Nuttall 3} queen cakes, Mrs Nuttall 1 and 2, Mrs W, McAuliay 3; article from flourbag, Mrs J. Bruce 1, Before the meeting closed the membqrs joined in wishing Miss Pat Williams, who is leaving shortly on a trip to England, a happy and enjoyable trip.
