Sherenden Branch

The annual meeting of the Sherenden branch of the Women 's Division was held in the Sherenden Hall on Thtirsday afternoon, when there was a fair at- - tendance of members. The secretary 's annual report showed a very creditable year's work and members expressed their satisfaction with the excellent report. The president 's report and the balance-sheet were then presented and these showed that the union had been financially successful. The officers for the coming year were eiected as follow: — President, Mrs H. Beanrish; treasurer, Mrs E. Beamifsh; secretary, Miss; J. Lowe; vice-presidents, Mesdames Mason and Attwood; committee, Mesdames Lowe, Agnew, Boyd, Nelson, Hyslop, Ensor, and Miss N. Attwood; Press correspondent, Miss J. Mason. Hearty votes of thanks were accorded to the retiring officers for their work during the past year. Delegates to the executive meetings in Hastings are Mrs Boyd and Miss J. Lowe and the delegates to the conference in Wellington is Miss J. Lowe. The next meeting will be held at Mrs Boyd's home, Otamauri, on, the first Thursday in May. A delicious afternoon tea was served and the singing of the National Anthem brought a successful meeting to a close. S==! .
