The overseer 'reported: — The .team, has been engaged in carting soil to Jull Park. Sixty yaTds oi metal wero earted to the dump in Qor«tation Park, and the usual carting of xubbish and grading has been done. The weak patchee in Great North road have been patched and tarred. Thirty-five yards of soil have been carted by the lorry to Jull Park. Twenty chains of the bush drain have been cleaned, and a start has been made with the tar-seal* ing of Domain road. The traffic inspector reported: — -Five applicants were tested for a license tc drive a private motor-car, two of these applicants having a further test to drive a trade motor, and one applicant was tested for a motor-cycle license. Several drivers of motor-cars wero warned for- exceeding the speed limit within the borough boundaries, and "the attention of five drivers of motor vehicles was drawn to their operating the vehicles after dark, displaying only oue headlight. In the latter cases, all had the headlights set in proper working order before proceeding out of town. Attending to traffic duties has been the - routine work done for the month.
