Blackberry Nuisance.
Mr Eagle referred to the blackberry nuisance and inquired what eteps could be taken to enforce the cutting of blackberry. The Mayor advised that he had instrueted the Town Clerk to send notices. When a notice had already been sent, fresh notices would be seut, and if no notice was taken proceedings should be taken. An estimate of the cost of a flame-thrower is to be secured. It was resolved that the control of the theatre, . concf rt hall and meetingroom be vested in the Town Clerk, the caretaker to take his instructions from the clork. Mr Murray asked if something could be done to improve the condition of Waverley street, near the town clock and lower portioh of Windsor Hill. — The overseer said that a fresh coat of red metal was necessary on Waverley street, and some of the bad places on Windsor Hill had received attention.
