KOTEMAORI GROUP

At the monthly meeting of the Kotemaori Women's Institute, Mrs Harris, president, presided over a gOod attendanee of members. One new member was elected and welcomed. A roll call, "Uses of Salt," was well answered. A brief report was read by the conveners of the spwing and gardening circles. Two delegates, Mesdames S. Jones and Gavin, were appointed to attend the annu'al council meeting at Napier on April 28. Two competitions were" held this month, which resuited: Mustard pickles: Miss Gavin 1, Mrs Harris 2, Mrs Foster and Mrs Hilliard 3 equal. Pikelets: Mrs 'Foster and Mrs Harris 1 equal, Mrs Hilliard 3. Mrs McArtkur and Miss Gavin were the winners of the amusement competition. The hostesses, Mesdames S. Jones and McQuilkan served a dainty afternoon tea. The meeting closed with the National Anthem.
