Steps Taken to Put a Stop To It additi0nal rangers Determined to put a stop to unlicensed shooting this winter, the" Hawke's Bay Acclimatisation Society deeided last evening to appoint four additional rangers to patrol the society' s district. A subcommittee was appointed to decide which parts of the district these temporary officers are- to patrol. This decision was reached on the recommend.ation of the acting-chairman, Mr H. M. Bishop, w;ho stressed the fact that it wa? quite impossible for the two permanent rangers to cover the whole district. Mr A. W. Renouf pointed out that all honorary rangers in Hawke's Bay would be quite eager to do all in their power to stop unlicensed shooting.
