The Regent Theatre, Hastings, is being honoured with a New Zealand premiere on Saturday, when "It Isn't Done" will be screened.at four , sessions, 2.15, 4.45, 8 and 10.30 This is the first Australian -picture made with the intention of world, distribution' Advance reports and the appearance of the "trailer" suggest that it should achieve success. A.Cinesound production, it is the first Australian picture with a really .first-elass, allstar cast. The players are Cecil Kelleway, Shirley Ann RiehardB, Joh'n Longden, Erank Harvey, Nellie Ferguson and Campbell Copelxn. Kelleway and Harvey are well-known to Hastings th'eatre-goers, the foriner as a comedian and the latter as a dramatic actor. Eelleway plays the part of an Australian • equatter who falls lieir to an earldom. He goes to London and' causes a stir in Society by bis unconventional ways, much to the amazement of the "best people" and the amusement of picture patrons. Leading English studios co-operated in the overseais" sequences of ''It Isn.'t Done," which marks another step for-: ward in Australian production, with photograph, settings,' sound, direction, east performances, and, above all, entertainment value measuring right up to oversea standards. The picture was directed by Australia's "ace" direetor, Ken G. Hall.
