I Rain for Opening Day

PORANGAHAU, Last Night. The Porangahau Golf Club hold its opening day on Saturday afternoon. There was a good attendance of members, also several visitors were present. Towards the end of the afternoon heavy rain brought play to a close. A Canadian foursome was played, tlie winners being Mrs. Roptlia and Mr. I'russing and Mrs. Eopiha and Mr. Itopiha equal. Mr. S. Board, the president, con;ratulatcd the greens committee for its : (Torts in getting the greens in order. (Ie presented the winners with small rrophies, and thanked everyone for ■ heir attendance, and in spite of the veather, hoped they had eujoyed the lay.
