Meeting of Otane Branch

OTANE, Last Night. - The Otane branch of the Mothers' Union held its first meeting of the year jast week, there being a very good attendance of members. The service in the churcK was eonducted by the viear, the Rev. R. T. Hall, who gave a very interesting and helpf ul address on 1 ' The Church 's Care for the Individual." At a later date Mr Hall has promised to give anofher talk on a different aspee.t of the same subjeet. Afterwards an adjour'nment was made to the Suuday school room, where Mrs Hall presided. Members all stood in Bilence in memory of Mrs Davidson, wife of a former vicar, who died earlier in the year. Mrs Davidson was the founder of the Mothers' Union in Otane. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames A. G. Clark, A. Coflins, Bone and Oliver, and a pleasant social hour was spent. The meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
