Mr. Allen said he had played against previous New Zealand teams and had always enjoyed the matches. He had seen the Dominion's representatj,vcs in aetion in Wellington recently and he would closely follow their progress under English conditions. "I wish them the very best of luck and think they will do pretty well." The touring party was farewelled on the Mariposa by Messrs. Luttreli and Wanklyn, representing the New Zealand Cricket Council, and by Messrs. Fee (chairman) and members of the management committee of the Auckland Cricket Association
