Mrs. G. E. Field, Havelock North, is a visitor to Wellington. Miss Joan Parker, Napier, is spending a holiday in Wellington. The Rev. Qyril and Mrs Hyde have returned to Wairoa after speuding a few days with relatives in Napier. Mr Everitt, with his sister, Miss Everitt, of Warwickshire, are Englisli visitors to Napier. Mr. and Mrs. Brian Reid, the Terrace, Wellington, are 'viaiting Mrs. Eeid's mother, Mrs. F. Cutfleld, Napier. The Misses Antoinette and Prue Wilder, Wallingford, Waipukurau, left to-day for Wellington, where they will attend the Government House Ball. • Miss Eileen Hobson,- Hatuma, and Miss Audrey Hobson, Takapau, are on a motoring tour in the Rotorua district. Miss Erica Hoby, of Havelock North, returned to New Zealand by the Mataroa, after an eight month 's viait to England. Miss Joan Parsons, daughter of Mr and Mrs Harry Parsons, Wallingford, left to-day for Wellington to begin her training in the Wellington Public Hospital. Misses M. and L. Johnstone, Wanstead, and Mrs Veith, of the Chatham Island, who has. been their guest, leave on Monday for Rotorua on holiday. Miss Carline Cray, who has been on a fortnight's visit to her parents, Mr and Mrs F. Cray, Napier, returned to Wellington to-day to continue her Karitane training. Mrs P. J. Townley, Wellington, returned home at the week-end after a few weeks visit to Mrs F. Cray, Corry Avenue, Napier. Mr and Mrs JDavid Charles, Wellington, who have been on a visit to Mr and Mrs C. Corn, returned home at the week-end. Mrs M. A. Buchan was the guest at a surprise party at the home of her sister, Mrs A. Sinclair, Lyndhurst road, on Thursday evening, to wish her bon voyage. She leaves on Monday for England by the Rangitata. Miss Jocelyn Grieve, Hastings, is etaying in Gisborne and will visit Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Armstrong and Mr. and Mrs. H. H. De Costa, before leaving for Auckland, where slie will commence her training at tbe Auckland Hospital. 4> _Miss Mildren Cottle, of Sydney, is visiting her mother, Mrs. W. H. Tearmonth, Hastings, and returns to Sydney at the beginning of May, when her marriage to Mr. R. W. Twentyman, who is on the staff of the Bank of -New Zealand, Svdney, will take place.
