Green Tomato Chutney Ingredients: 2£lb. green tomatoes, 1 pint of Vinegar, 4oz. brown sugar, loz. cloves, 4oz. sliced onions, 2oz. preserved ginger, pepper and salt. Mv>hodi Place layers of sliced tomato in a disk and sprinkle salt between tho layers. Leave for 24 hours, then drain ofl" the water. Put all the ingredients into a pan and simmer until tender. Strain and pot in airtight containers. This cutney can be used immediately or kept for several months
