Chrysanthemum Show On April 28 The annual chrysanthemum show on April 28 was the principal topic discussed by members of the committee of the Hastings Horticulture! Society at a meeting last evening. Mr C. J. Baker presided over Mesdames L. J. Harvey, W. Wright, C. J. Baker, and I. Campbell, and Messrs L. J. Harvey, C. B. Hixon, H. Batt, L. Hicks, J. G. C. Mackenzie, T, Dobson, A. M. Millar and F. S. Thom'as. It was decided to hold the show as usual iu the Assembly Hall, and the following judges were appointed: — Chrysanthemums, Mr T. G. Clark, of Lower Hutt; decorative seetion, Mrs O. Anderson, of Taradale; cookery seetion, Mrs Goldfineh, of Havelock North; miscellaneous, Mr J. G. C. Mackenzie, of Hastings. It was decided to have the judging of the decorative table class made by popular vote of the patrons, Messrs C. J. Baker, J. G. C. Mackenzie and F. S. Thoma.s1 were appointed a special sub-committee to interview tlie proprietors of the various nurseries in the district with a view to seeking their co-operation and assistance by arranging special trade exliibitions and displays at the various shows. Affiliation with the National Daffodil Society was briefly discussed, and the secretary was instruetfid to make inquiries in this direetion. Accounts amounting to £5 11/- were passed for payment.
