Meeting Abandoned

When intimation was received by th© executive of the Tikokino Sports Club from the Health authorities prohibiting the holding of the annual sports gathering on Easter Saturday,1 it was tentatively arranged to postpone the meeting until Saturady, April 17. At a meeting of the club of Wednesday evening, however, it was decided to abandon the meeting for this year, principally becanse no definite assurance could be given that a permit would he issued by the Health Department for the date in qnestion. The concellation means a sqvere loss to the club as expenditure up to £100 had been incurred in various forms of preparation, and this its practically a dead losa.
