Waipawa Hospital Board's Fees for the Year INTERESTING FIGURES

WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. The Waipawa Hospital Board 's revenue from'patients* fees for the year ending March 31, 1937, conatitutes a record for all institutions, the total being £24,540 4/3, against £21,328 6/7 last year. The Waipukurau Hospital shows a revenue of £82 per occupied bed, against £72. Twice during the past three years the Waipukurau Hospital 's revenue from patients * fees has been the highest in New Zealand, and for the year ending March 31, 1936, it was third highest with a revenue of £72 per occugied bed. This year, with an increase of £10 per occupied bed, the institution ia Jikely to be well up in«the list again. The total hospital and maternity home fees for the yeax ended March 31, 1937, are £6,039 12/2, against £5,569 14/5 for last year. The Pukeora Sanatorium fees for 1937 total £18,500 12/1, against £15,758 12/2, the large increase being partly due to the increased number of patientsu Record Number of Babies Bonu The total expenditure of the board for the year 1936-37 was £58,564 13/1, representing £43,064 16/10 maintenance expenditure and £15,499 16/3 capital expenditure.
