Mr H. M. Christie, M.P., left for Wellington by the mail train yesterday. to attend a caucus of the Labour Pacty. Mr R. H- Browne, county Ongtnoer for Waitomo Coupty, and Miss Doreen and Master Brian Browne, are staviuer
with Mr C. W. Browne, Waipukurau. Miss M. Stabler's services as secretary to the Waipukurau Ladies' Golf Club were eulogised at the annual meeting of the club. Although the work was new to her and there had been more to do than usual, eaid Mrs E. Broad, Miss Stabler carried out her duties with the utmost satisfacfcion, and was alWays most courfceous and obliging. Mr P. A. Milne, Wairoa, health inspector, leaves on Fridiay for New Plymouth, to which town he has been transferred. Messrs W. J. Hill and B. Glengarry left Wairoa on Tuesday for Tauranga.
