-Presa Assn.-

Evidence at Inquest Into Frank Vosper's Death COMPANION'S EVIDENCE

(By Telegraph-

-Copyrijnt.)

(Received 1, 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, March 31. At the inquest into the death of the actor Frahk Vosper a report was received from the harbourmaster at Plymoutk stating that the body must have travelled from 170 to 200 miles between March 6 and 21. He was of opinion that, in view of the weather conditions at that period, the total drift of a floating object would not exceed a hundred miles. Dr. Shera gave evidence that all the injuries were caused by the sea and that the body was alive when immersed. Peter Willes told how he and Vosper vvent to Miss Oxford 's cabin to iinish a bottle of champagne. Vosper spoke of the room being warm and went to the verandah. There had been no words of anger. Vosper was extremely shortsighfed but was not wearing his glasses because they were broken. Miss Oxford called out to Vosper to come and have a drink and there was no reply. "1 was puzzled, ' ' said Mr Willes, "so went to the verandah and looked to right and. left. I walked to the window in the centre, which was open, looked out and was horror-stricken because I thought there was a deck outside, on which I had expected to see Vosper walking." He was of opinion that Vosper elimbed out of the window also expecting to find a deck outside, Miss Oxford, in evidence, stated that she could not imagine what had happened when there was no reply from the verandah. Vosper had shown no jealousy when she and Willes were sittlng on the sofa. The foreman of the jury told the Coroner that they were unable to reach a verdict. They felt strongly that evidence should be fortheoming from Mr. Stewart, the c'apfain. The inquest was adjourned
