Dannevirke Man Injured

DANNEVIRKE, Last Night. Shot in the eye by a youth, with. an air-gun, Mr J. W. Dobson, a member of the staff of the Ruahine Club, Dannevirke, was admitted to the Dannevirke Publie Hospital. His sight may not be impaired, though it is too early yet to say. Mr Dobson, who was temporarly relieving another member of the stajf, had oceasion to open a wiudow. When he did so, a youth was playing in the yard with an air-gun. Ms Dobson made some jocular remark about 4 ' stieking them up," and the youngster, it is reported^ promptly poiuted the gun playfully and pulled the trigger. The misisile struck Mr Dobson in the right eye. It is expected that he will be an inmate of the hospital for some time.
