WOMEN'S LUNCHEON CLUB MEETING IN HASTINGS

Members of the Hastings Women's Iiuncheon Club met at the Hawke's Bay Farmers' toarooms yesterday, when the president, Mrs A. E. G'Meara was in tlie cliair. The patroness, Mrs Selwyn Chambers and the secretary, Miss Sybil Lincoln were also present. lt was previously decided not to have a speaker at the meeting but to discuss plans for the new year. Most of thos© present were foundation members of the club and all felt that it would be a great pity to discontinue such interesting luncheons through lack of memborsliip, but at the same time it was agreed that it was hardly fair to invite much-travelled and busy speakers to address a small gathering. It was finally decided to hold one more luncheon on April 19 hoping that all the members who really appreciate the luncheon meetings would be present to show that they desire the club to continue.
