CARAVAN HONEYMOON FOR TO-DAY'S BRIDE

Reichenbach — W arren Deepest paTchment georgette was chosen by the bride for her gown at the wedding of Carita Thelma, second daugh'ter of Mrs M. Warren, Avenue road, Hastings, and Bichard Denis, only son of Mr and Mrs D. Keichenbach, of Palmerston Nortb. which was solemnised by the Bev. B. B. Gosnell, at the Hastings Methodist Church this morning. The colour scheme of the wedding groups was in autumn shades and autumn-tinted fiowers deeorated the church. During the ceremony Miss E. Napier presided at the organ. The bride was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr H. C. File, and her model gown of parchment georgette was fashioned with a panelled skirt very flared at the hem. The long sleeves and bodice were composed of knife pleats linished at the neck and shoulders with machine smocking. Hand-made parchment velvet fiowers with centre of orange blossom were worn at the neck and the stitched belt was eaught with a brilfiant clasp. Her little hat of parchment velvet was finely tucked and finished with a small eye-veil and she wore velvet shoes and carried a sheaf of cream fiowers with touches of gold. The bride was attended by a matron of honour, her sister, Mrs H. C. File, and a bridesmaid, Miss K. Reichenbach, sister of the bridegroom. Their gowns were of parchment mousseline patterned in autumn shades, fashioned with" very full sleeves and cowled neckline. The matron of honour wore a sash of lemon velvet and lemon velvet shoes and the bridesmaid wore an orange sash and shoes. Their hats of parchment starched net had high crowns and tiny velvet fiowers at the back in the shades of their gowns and they carried posies of autumn-tinted fiowers. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Jim Warren, the bride's brother. As the bride and bridegroom left the church the bride's little nephew, Master Billy File, presented her with a lucky horseshoe. The guests were entertained at a luncheon party at the Rialto tearooms after the ceremony and were received by the bride's mother, Mrs M. Warren, who wore a navy and white ensemble with a navy cire straw hat and carried a posy in rust shades. Mrs D. Reichenbach, the bridegroom 's mother, wore a black gown with inset of white at the neck and a black hat, and her posy was in autumn shades. The honeymoon is to be spent touring the Nortfr Island in a caravan and later Mr and Mrs Reichebach will reside at Karori, Wellington. Mrs Reichenbach travelled in a navy tunic frock with pleated basque and silver clasps at the neck and belt. Her navy velour hat was finished with a quill through the high crown and she wore navy accessories. Among the many beautiful wedding presents were a crystal waterjug and goblet from the staff of Baird 's Ltd., the bride . having been a member, and an e^derdown from Mr and Mrs H. W. C. Baird.
