LODGE MEETINGS
Loyal Tavistock Business WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. At the foxtnightly meeting of Loyal Tavistock Lodge of Manchester Oddfellows held last night, Bro. B. Robertson, N.G., presiding, three deputies to the recent Hawke's Bay District * Oonference reported very f avourably on the proceedings. Specially complimentary reference was made as to the services rendered by the Pistrict .Grand Master (Bro. G. Reg. Cook), Sister Mrs G. Reg Cook, P.G., and her assistants, Sister Mrs W. G. Bryce, the Press, and the host and hostess (Mr and Mrs C. L. Crooks), also staff of Tavistock Hotel. On the motion of Bro. W. G. Bryce, P.G.G.M., seconded by Bro A. C. Bliss, P.G., the hearty thanks of the Lodge wer© accorded Bros A. C- Holms P.D. G.M., P. E. Bollons, P.G., and J. Wharmby, P.G., for the attention to their duties as Conference delegates, also Bro Bollons for his special efforts. A candidat© for membership was initiated in to the Order. The Nohle Grand and Bro. Bliss were deputed to confer with Court Ruahine (Foresters) and Waipukurau Lodge of Independent Oddfellows. N.Z., as to arranging a series of triangular bowling matches. A donation of £1 1/- to the Benevolent Fund was acknowledged with thanks.
