COURT RUAHINE
The usual bi-monthly meeting of Court Ruahine, Foresters' Order, was held in the Masonic Hall last evening, when Sistei: N. Reidy, P.C.R., presided m the unavoidable absence oi the Chief Ranger, Bro. I). R. Logan. The usual business routine was dealt with. Advice was received from Bro. G. Gay, formerly of Waipukurau, notifying the Court of his desire to become a member of a Court jn Blenheim, where he has taken up permanent residence. Bro. Gay was granted a clearance, subject to the usual formailties being executed. Bros. F. R. Logan and E. G. Dowdiek, P.C.R.'s, who had been appointed by the District Executive to collect suggestions for the improvement of ritual used in Courts, invited members to point ont any improvements which could be made. It was stated during the discussion, that the aim of the District was to bring the ritual up-to-date and also to make » it uniform throughout the various Courts. Bros J. H. Hopkinson, Secretary, and F. R. Logan, P.C.R., were appointed to represent Court Ruahine at a meeting of friendly societies in Waipukurau' to prepare a progranime for an indoor bowlmg competition. The other lodges to be represented will be Loyal Tavistock Lodge, M.C., I.O.O.F., and the New Zealand Order, I.O.O.F. It was decided that the Court should liold a social and dance, at a date to be arranged, at which members, their iamilies, and friends, would be the guests of the Court. A donation list was opened in the Court room and a considerable sum was forthcommg from the members present to help defray the expenses of tlm function. At the conclusion of the meeting supper was served, members tlien taking part in indoor bowls and playiug cards.
