WAIPUKURAU, This Day. There was a fair attendance at th annual general meeting of the Waipu ■ kurau High School Old Boys Footbal Club held to-night. Mr. R. S. Ricketti presided. The subscription for the ensuing year was fixed at: Senior 7/6, junior 5/-. Training is to commence on Mareh 31 and Wednesday was selected- as practice night. It was decided that thd secretary get in touch with the C.H.B. Power Board and endeavour to co-operate with the Waipukurau Footbali Club in the erec- ! tion of a spotlight on Russell Park for j training purposes. On the motion by Mr. G. Lawson it was decided that the ' club try and arrange a match with one of the Hastings teams for April 3, bef ore the Rugby season in Hawke 's Bay commences. Annual Report. The annual report read as fox._ ,:s: — We commenced the season with a credit balance of £26 7/7, and concluded with a credit balance of £35 7/4. Two teams were entered in the local competitions, one senior and one junior. I The senior team did not fare so well, mainly due to injuries and illness. Thc junior team improved after every game and at the end of the season were one } of the hardest teams to defeat. We trust all players will take more interest tliis year to enable each team to have a full complement of players each Saturday. Players to gain sub-union 's honours were; C. Wilson, A. Wilson, S. Colcs.. M. Weatherly and Lawson. C. Wilson gained Hawke's Bay honours and to all these players we offer our congratulations. We wish to thank all those who assisted the club during the past season and hope to receive the same support I this year; also our hon. auditor, Mr. Holmes, who has always given advice I when required.
