WAIROA, Last Night. A meeting of the committee of the Wairoa Rugby Sub-Union was held on Monday evening. Present: Messrs. A. G. Nolan (chairman), R. Goodley, R. Vallance, F. H. Mardon, J. Raureti, A. Mudgeway, H. H. Flint, C. Hall, P. Bates, P. A. Milne, E. McDonald and H. Millar (secretary). The chairman expressed the subanion's appreciation of the good work Tone for Rugby by Mr. P. A. Milnc, vho was leaving the district, and wished liiin all success and prosperity m his new sjiheie. ' Mr. Goodley expressed the regret of the sub-union at the retirement of Mr. Nolan from the presidency, and stressed the excellent service given to Rugby by Mr.Nolan over a long period. . Ile suggested that Mr. Nolan aecept the office cf patron in reeognition of liis long assoeiation with the sub-union. On behalf of the referees Mr. Vallance spoke in a similar strain. Both Mr. Nolan and Mr. Milne returned thanks.
