Annual Meeting of Sub-Union

WAIROA, Last Night. The annual general meeting of the Wairoa County Rugby Sub-Union was held on Monday, Mr. A. G. Nolan presiding over an attendance of 48.' The f ollowing were the official delegates from clubs: — Waiau, Mr. R. Goodley; Tuhara, Mr. R. McDonald; Nuhaka, Messrs. J. Raureti and D. McGregor; Whakaki, Mr. F. H. Mardon; schools, Mr. A. Mudgway; referoes, Mr. R. Vallance; Old Boys, Messrs. P. Bates and J. Hodgson; Pirates, Messrs. R. Cook and L. Gay. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: — Patron, Mr. A. G. Nolan; president, Mr. F. H. Mardon; vice-president, Mr. R. Goodley; hon. treasurer, Mr. L. Gay; hon. secretary, Mr. C. Stone; hon. surgeon, Dr. E. B. Jardine; hon. auditor, Mr. W. A. Crarer; committee, Messrs. C. TTn.ll, A. Mudgway, J. Raureti, W. G. Brownlie, J. Hodgson, P. Bates, R. McDonald. In accordanee with notice of motion given, Mr. P. Bates moved: — ' ' That all matches be played in Wairoa, and that all country teams be paid travelling allowances." The motion was lost. Thanks were expressed tc che Press, the St. John Ambulancf, and the Referees' Assoeiation. On the motion of Mr. A. G. Nolan, the meeting placed on fecord its appreciation . of the serviees of the retiring secretary, Mr. H. Millar.
