Funds For Waipawa Methodist Church

WAIPAWA, Last Night. A successful bazaar and sale of work in aid of the funds of the Waipawa Methodist Church was held in thc Municipal Concert Hall this aftemoor and evening. There was a very good : atendance of the public and excellent . business was reported. The following were in charge of the various stalls: — Men's stall, Rev. A. O. Jonesj fisl pond, Mrs. Jones"; fanoy stall, Miss Fissenden and Mrs. J. Cablej sweet stall, Misses Bibby and Dailey; produce stall, Mesdames Dailey and Carson; cake stall, Mesdames Bott and Fordj guild stall, Mesdames Carne and ellow; afternoon tea, Mrs. Thaekeray. Mrs. Fissenden, Miss Frobath, Miss Kingston, Miss Bott. At the evening session a short. programme was presented, items being contributed. as follows:— Yocal solo, Mrs. Jones; elocutionary items, Mrs: J. P. Walker; vocal solo, Miss O. Fissenden; vocal' solo, Mr. J. Barkermonologue, Mrs; J. p. Walker; vocal solo, Miss J. Fissenden. The nail-driving competition was won by Mrs. Oarson, the men's dartthrowing by Mrs. Jones, and the ladies' aart-throwmg by Mrs. Grenside.
