TRAINS RUN LATE

Our Own Correspondent.)

School Children Inconvenienced

(From

OTANE, This day. The late mntng of the morning aud evening trains since the school reopened is seriously affecting the children wh'o travel by train to the Waipawa District High School. The late arrival at school of these children must seriously afiect the class work, as well . as being a handicap to the children ^ themselves. * The plight of the children from stations beyond Otane at which the afternoon express train does not stop, is not an enviable one. The train they travel by and which is timed to leave Otane at 5 o'clock, has on numerous oecalsions been well behind time.
