NORSEWOOD W.DF.U.

The monthly. meeting of the Norsewood branch of the Women 's DivisioD of the Farmers ' Union was held at the residence of Mrs. G. Christoffersen, South Norsewood. Mrs. Mearing presided over a good attendance of members and welcomed a visitor from Dunedin. A large amount of correspondence was dealt with, including a circular from the World Peace League. The ! Dominion quarterly progress report i was read and also the report of the Dominion executive meeting. It was decided to forward immediately the yearly contribution to tho Community chest as the report sub mitted by the Dominion secretary of the world done by the Division housekeepers showed that financial help must be given by all branches. Engagcmonts filled by the division liousckeepers for the six months tooailed 751. Members were reminded that the nest meeting to be held on April 12 would be the annual meeting. An interesting competition arranged \ by Mrs. Mearing was won by Mrs. Edgeley, Mrs Mearing being accorded a hearty vote of thanks for donating the prize. $ A dainty supper was followed by half an hour's social chat and the evening closed with a vote of thanks to the hostess, Mrs. Christoffersen,1 for the use of her home.
