Mr Lloyd Georg© intends to protest to the committee framing King George's Civil List against the lack of Stat© provision of an incoxua for the ' Duke of Windsor# He saj's: "It is scandalous that the ex-King should be left without an income when all merabers of the Royal Family ar^, provided for. It is generally admitted that he behaved most decently in abdicating in order to make no difficulty for the reigning King. It is the height of meanness and vindictiveness not to provide for him." The News-Chronicle understands that , Mr Winston Churchill shares these f views. Mr Lloyd George is a member of the committee. He added "I im loyal to the Thrdne whoever occupies * it, but that is nothing to do with the treatment of a man who has been King and who abdicated rather than make trouble for his successor or the Govern^ ment."
