THRILLER AND COMEDY. Two murders in an ancient and dis-. mai French Chateau while a notorioul criminal attempts to steal a rare old hook worth many thousands of dollar* furnish some of the thrills in Univerw sal's thrilling "Secret of the Chateau,'' which screens to-night at the Municipal Theatre, with Claire Dodd, Clark Williams, Alice White, and Jack La Ruq in th© leading roles. A dozen persona 1 are suspected, including Clark Williams, playing one of the heirs; Claire Dodd, a beautiful stealer of books; William Faversham, Jack LaRue, a former Paris Apache; Osgood Perkins, the butler ; Cecil Elliott, who portraya his wife, the cook; and George E. Stone, in the role of a friend of Williams. The hook in question is tho original copy of the Gutenberg Bible, the first hook ever printed. Naturally, every one is trying to get possession of the Biljle, and all will go at any lengths to get it. An eerie atmosphere is created by the ominous tolling of a bell atop the chateau just before each crime is committed. Agtion occurs both in Paris and at tha chateau, wliich is located in the country. The picture was directed by Richard Thorpe. "Lady Tubhs," the second feature afc the Municipal, is a truly sparkling comedy-romance starring Alice Brsdy, Douglass Montgcniery, Anita Louise and June Clay worth.
