QUIET WEDDING TAKES PLACE AT HAVELOCK

MILUGAN — TINNING A quiet wedding took place at St. Luke's Church, Havelock, on March 9, the contracting parties being Miss Hilda May Tinning, daughter of Mr and Mrs R. Tinning, Mangateretere, and Mr Garlies Milligan, of" Feilding, formerly of Mangateretere. The Rev Mr Weymouth of.oiated. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her fatlier, looked pic.' turesque in a frock of Princess Mary blue rice crepe, accordion-pleated from neckline to hem, and ornamented with a blue and silver shoulder spray. She wore a grey hat and gloves, and silver shoes, and carried an attractiv bouquet of apricot dahlias, roses and iorns. f£er bridesmaid was Mies Rhoda Tinning (sister). Her frock of tos© pink uncrushable crepe, inset with phirring on skirt, was fashioned on long lines. The bodice .had full, short sleeves, and a gold shoulder spray. Gold shoes were worn and a picture hat of fawn and pink, and Q bouquet of pink roses and maidenhair fern gave an effective finish. The duties of best man were ably cairied out by Mr Robert Tinning, trother of the bride. Following the ceremony at the church, the reception was held at the Selphast tea-rooms, Hastings, where tho tables were decorated with flowers iu cream and pink tonings, a feature On the bride 's table being the handsomeJy iced bridal cake. The usual toasts were honoured and the popular young couple received neartiest congratulations. MrS Tinning, bride's mother, received the guests wearing a" smart navy blue ensemble, with navy hat and shoes, and she carried a f ragrant bou quet of red roses with maidenhair fern. Miss R. Milligan, .bridegroom's sister, wore a smart brown ensemble, brown liat and shoes, and bonquet in autumn tonings. When Mr and Mrs Milligan left by car for a tour of the south, the bride travelled in a neat. brown costume and hat, and brown accessories, and prctt.ily smocked pink blouse.
