STUBBS—HANSEN
The Presbyterian Church, Norsewood, was the sccne of a very pretty wedding recently when Jean (Peggy), youngest daughter of Mrs J. M. and the Iflte Mr A. B. Hansen, " Inverallen, " Norsewood, was married to Godfrey Lewis, younger son of Mr and Mrs E. F. Stubbs, "Burnside," Takapau. Tho qfficiating minister was the Rev. Noel Finch, and the organist Mrs R. Armslrong. The church was boautifully decorated by friends of the bride, with flowers and greenery. The bride was gowned in magnolia datin. The high neckline was cowled, with richolieu embroidery on the corsage, and the full bishop sleeves, and also forming a border to the long train. Her veil of tulle and lace, which matched the laco' insets of the gown, was arranged wcll off the face. She carried a sheaf of liliuin auratum aud dwarf lilies. Tho bridesmaids were the Misses Lorna Hansen,- Sister of the bride, Amy Roberts, Dannevirke, and Jessie Edgecombe, Masterton. They were dressod alike in frock of green silk net ovpr taffetas, with shirred bodices, aquare necklines, and double puff wloeves. The very full skirts were frilled lengthwise down the sides and were finished with three satin bows down the centre front, and wide sashes •tjing at the back. They also wore matching mittens, and their hair was arranged with silver bandeaux and tiny rtusky pink posies worn at the side. Their bouquets of zinnias, gladioli, charm dahlias and maidenhair fern were in dusky pink tonings. The bridegroom was attended by Mr •Robert Aldrich, Takapau, as best man, and Messrs C. Woolcott, Napier, and R. Stuhbs, Palmerston North. . The ufthers were Messrs B. Elliugham and A. Aldrich. During the service, Mrs ArmstroDg sang: "Thank God for a Garden. " A reception was held in the Norsewood Town Hall. The guests were received by Mra Hansen, mother of the bride, who was wearing a charming lrock of black georgette and laco, with naturnl shoulder spray, large black baku hat and accessories to tone. Her bouquet was in pink shades. Mrs Stubbs, mother of the bridegroom, wa? m an attraetive floral satin frock, and back ,iack-tar hat and toning accessories. Her bouquet was of red begonias and anemones. When the bride and bridegroom left-, the former was wearing a dark isaxe American frock in dull suede-satin, with a smart toque of the same shade, and shoes, gloves and handbag to match. She also wore a brown skunk i'ur.
