McLEOD—EPPLETT
The wedding was solenmised recently at tbe Baptist Church, Hastings, of Gladys, daughter of Mr and Mrs D. Epplett, Outram road, Hastings, and Fraser William, son of Mr and the late Mrs W. R. McLeod, Roydon, Porangahau. The Rev. 0. B. Boggis officiated at the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by lier fatlier, wore a smart model frock iu autumn brown fancy ribbed marocain cut on litting lines wih an anklelength skirt. The bodice was prettily rucked in front and finished with silver huttons and a pink spray and the long sleeves were bell shaped at the waist. Bhe wore a pink picture hat trimmed with velvet ribbon and a brown and pink spray, and she carried a bouquet of shaded pink roses, carnations and fern with pink streamers. The bride 's two sisters, the Misses Moliie Epplett (chief) and Grace Fpplett, attended her as bridesmaids. They were gowned alike in lemon pique muslin, daintily sprigged with autumn flowers. The bodice was cut with a high neckline finished with a lemon spray and was ruched on the shoulders to form puffed sleeves. A lemon velvet sash at Ihe waist was tied in a l ow at the back aud each niaid wero silver sandals and a lemon picture hui Innimed with autumn tinled spray m. Bouquets of autumn tinted flowers, gladioli, poin pmn dahlias and roses were carried, all the bouquets having ■ been artistiealiy made by the bride's l'allier. The bridegroom's gift lo oacli maid was a silver butter dish and knite. kfr Alec McLeod, of Sherenden, the bridegroom 's brother, was best man, and Mr Ernest Corner, Sherenden, the groomsman. A ret'opUon was lafnr held ni the« brides'a home where Mr and Mrs D. Epplett received the guests. Mrs Ep plott wore a gown of saxe blue floral marocain with inset of lace at Ihe neek, a l!qe hat and blue and white corsage spray. Tho tables were decorated with pink
asters and ovorhead wero pink, lemon and brown streamers. A pink wedding bell was suspended over thc bridal table whero stood the wedding cake whicli was cut by tho bride. Among tho guests wero Mr and Mrs Dalby, tlie latter a sister of the bride groom, Mr W. Tt. McLeod, the bride groom's fatlier, Mrs H. Axbey, Mr W. Mclntosh. Mrs B. Kale, Mr and Mrs T. Crooks, Mr and Mrs S. Woon, Mr and Mrs W. Mclnearnie, Mr It. Epplett, Mr J. Murphy, Misses N. Corner, Margaret Matthews. P. Lambert, B. Frost, Grace Kale and K. Matthews.
