PROVINCIAL PERSONALS
Messrs. O. Chalmers and B. Hplt have returned to Waipawa after spen8ing a holiday in Auckland. Mrs# W. Ireland, of Waipawa, is at present visiting Taumarunui. Mr. Guy Jones left Otane yesterday for Wellington', where he will enter the Salvation Army Officers' School to undergo a courso of training prior tp serving in one of the Army's many stations in New Zealand. Mr and Mrs S. W. Hardie have returned to Palmerston North, after a visit to Mrs Hardie 's parents, Mr and Mrs J. Packer, Ormondville. Miss McBryde, of Napier, has returned after spending a holiday as the guest of her aunt, Mrs B. Adamson, Norsewood. Mrs N. McLernon, Olydebank, is ou a visit to her parents, Mr and Mrs D. Gambril, Gisborne. Miss A. Gillingham has returned to Waerenga-a-hika after a holiday spent at Waikaremoana. « Mr E. A. Peiz, secertary of the Wairoa Hospital Board, returned to Wairoa on Saturday after attending the Hospital Boards' Conference. Mr and Mrs Wishart have returned to Wairoa after a visit to Auckland. Dr. E. B. Jardine has resigned his position as secrctary to the Wairoa High School Committee owing to pressure o£ work, and Mr S. M. Ashburn has been appointed in his place. Mr P. J. Helean, of the Wairoa l'ost and Telegraph staff, has resumed duty after his annual holiday. Mr M: A. Williani'S, of the Wairoa Post Office staff, is on an extended tour of the North Island. Mr A. C. Mercer of the Wairoa telephone exchange staff, has left on transfer to Tauranga, and Mr W. D. Poyzer fills the vaeaney.
