BON VOYAGE PARTY FOR GUILD TREASURER, MISS S. WELLWOOD
A very pleasant afternoon was given yesterday by Mrs. A. F. Glemiy, president of the Hastings Townswomen's Guild, at her home in Ellison road, to enable the members of the general Guild committee to bid farewell to Miss Susan Wollwood, who leaves shortly for, England, and also to express their very sineere appreciation of all that Miss Wellwood has do :.i during her threo and a half years as guild treasurer The drawiug-roonv was artistically decorated witli a rose oulour sclie'me, bowls of asters in two shades of pink and large vases of pink liydrangeas. Mrs. G. Marsicano entertained the guests with a very appropriate song, ' ' Salaam. ' ' The guests enjoyed chatting together and a delicious tea was served by the hostess who was assisted by Mrs. A. C. A. Hyde. On behalf of the committee members Mrs. Gleirny presented Miss Wellwood with a black evening bag and expressed the gratitude which all members felt for Miss Wellwood 's wonderful work since -the inception of the Hastings Guild. Miss "Wellwood replied and all joined in singing "For She's a Jolly Good Fellow. ' ' The committee members who had been associated with Miss Wellwood who were present were: Mesdames A. F. Glenny, F. Deans, G. A. Maddison, A. C. A. Hyde, V. L. Westerman, R. Sturm, E. Riley, T. Hill, F. J. Hull, A. E. O 'Meara, G. Marsicano and Miss Straug. Apologies were reeeivcd from Mesdames F. S. Budd, J. B. Pickering, J. Wright, E. V. Simpson, C. P. Hopkins, L. J. Harvey and Miss H. Ford.
