Advisory Directors To Dairy Company UNUSUAL DECISION

HAMILTON, March 5. A novel means of ensuring the inter?st of native suppliers in the directioa of the company has been adopted by the Te Awamutu Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, which has invited Maori farmera who send cream to its factories to nominate an advisory director. He will attend all board meetings and is to act as adviser to the company when any requests for linancial assistance are received from native suppliers. The secretary-manager of tho company, Mr. A. J. Sinclair, in a circular to the Maoris concerned statce that eince the company commenced operations a good cream supply has been received from nativo suppliers and the. directors Jiked to think that they were assisting them in their efforts to become established in dairying. In order that the Maori3 therdselves may play some part in the appointment of the advisory director, tho company has asked them to submit the names of three native suppliers who would be . qualified to accept the position. From this list the directors will make the &nal choice.
