WAIPAWA PLUNKET CAR

New Purchase to be Made (From Our Own Correspondent) WAIPAWA, This Day. A largely attended meetng of the Waipawa branch of the Plunket Society, called especially to deal with the recommendation from the general meeting of Tuesday of last week in respect to the purchase of a new car, was held at tho end of the week, there being present Mesdames Harvey (president), Witherow (vice-president), Clark (president of the Otane branch), B. Williams, Bishop, Bryant, Eagle, Towers, Murray, Petersen, Pepperell, and Spieer (secretary). On the motion of Mrs. Spicer, seconded by Mrs. Towers, it .was resolvcd: "That this commitee is satisfied that the purchase of the secondliand car was iu the best interests of the society, but that in view of the dccision reached by the general meeting on March 2 it resolves to sell tho car and purchase a new oue, and that pending the sale of tho car the nurse be instructed not to use the one acquired."
