Central H.B. Teachers. Tho annual meeting of the Central Hawke's Bay branch of ihe New Zea land Educational Institute was held in the Waipukurau District H'cgii Schoo. on Saturday. The followmg officers were elected; President, Mr V. Parsons; vice-presidents, Miss M. E. Mac donald, Mr T. B. Jackson, Mr R. C. Adlam; secretary-treasurer, Mr Thomas Taylor; auditor,D Mr E. C. Hurdsfield; exccutive committee, Mrs B. A. Collett, Mi£s E. Gray, Messrs W J. Phillips, H. Lunn, W. Johnston; delegate to confereiioe, Mr V. Parsons. Mr L. R. Cutforth resigned frOm the position of secretary and was aecorded a vote of thauks for his valuable services. Waipawa Sports. Although the weather on Saturday was perfect for outdoor spoits i,heve was only a fair attendance at the Waipawa bowling green where the fo'Vnv ing games were played: — Barrsc Ashby 22; Kingston, Walker 16. Noell, Davy, Wallace 24; Larson, Juli, McKaj- 11. Pethoriclc, Ilolt, I'arki.i, Ilolt 22; llawlto, Fletcher, Clark, Chishoim 10. The Sports' Club's tennis eourtg wero well patronised, a number of piaj'ers being engaged in matchcs in the club -■tournament which is being conducled at Ihe present time.
