METHODIST GUILD MEMBERS ADDRESSED BY REV R. B. GOSNELL
The monthly meeting of the ifethodist Ladies' Guild, heid last week in the young women Js room, was presided over by the Rev. R. B. Gosnell, who conducted the devotions and gave a very interesting account of the recent conference held in Auckland. He also outlined the organisation of the various church courts and synods. In a comprehensive way the speaker detailed how the different departments were worked, making clear to thosa present the wonderful organisation which was known throughout the world as the Methodist Church, working for the glory of God and the extension of his kingdom. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr. Gosnell, and afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Carey Brooks and Warrington. Duririg the afternoon arrngements •syere made for the conduct of the Harvest sale which was held this afternoon and a eommittee was choseu to organise the social function this evening.
