CLUB SWIMMING
Low Standard oi Diving NAPIER CLUB NIGHT Fields wero not very large at the tentk club night for the season of the Napier Swimming Club, held at- the Municipal Baths last evening. Notwithstanding this fact, however, a very enjoyable evening' s sport, with some close finishes were witnessed. _ - The attendance was not as great as it has been during the season, although the weather was warro. Once more the standard of diving was disappointing, this event seeming now to be taken more as a relaxation for the competitors than for any serious purpose. Diving in past years has heen good, and it is strange to find that even at the Hawke's Bay championships held recently this event was not as good as it might be. Distances for three cups were swum, results being: — 100 yards junior girls. — A. Waller 1, M. Blewman 2, J. Jorgensen 3. Time, 1.44 2-5. 66 2-3 yards intermediate boys. — Lee 1, Collett 2, Taylor 3.
