Mysterious Causes oi Death DYNAMITE OR DIP7 Yearling fish numbering 3500 and 300 fish from one and-a-half to two and-a-half years have recently been liberated in the Tutaekuri xiver by the ranger of the Hawke's Bay Acclimatisation Society, Mr F. D. Robson. Almost immediately 25,000 rainbow fingerlings are also to be liberated, many of them probably in tutira Lake. It was decided to endeavour to procure some of the fish for inspection by the Marine Department, to find how the fish are being killed "The fish are certainly not dying of old age," commented Mr Renouf.
