Meeting of Trust Board The quarterly. meeting- of - tqe Te Mata Park Trust Board was held at Hastings on Tuesday night, Mr F. , E. Smith presiding in the unavoidable absence owing to illness ' , of Mr ' Mason" Chambers. Others present were Messrs' Ashcroft, W. M. H. Diamond and W. Tncker, „ . . . ... The report of the finance committee; was eonsidered, the position of the board being deemed very satisfactory. The chairman xeported that compara- 1 tively little. work* had been done at* the domain -since the last meeting of the board. Attention had been given to the clearing of the weeds and other . nseless growth Tound the tfees, and. about £7 had been expended in the maintenahce of the Toads and measures to.stop the washing away of portions of the road surface by storm water. ' * Mr Smith xeported that' * he had secured a quantity of . heaft kauri timber at. a very reasonable cost and that this would be of good use -to the board in providing posts and • Tailing. . Accounts totalling £40 14/2 were passed for payment.
