RUATANIWHA LODGE
The fortnightly meeting of the Ruataniwha Lodge U.A.O.D., Waipawa, was held last evening when, in the absence of A.D. Bro. Martin, P.A. Bro. A. Watson presijed. _ •• The usual routine business * was disposed of, aud sick pay and accouiits passed for payment. It was decided to notify Bro. Rouse, tbe present D.P., tbat it would be suitable for him to vMt. Ruataniwha Lodge next Lodge night to instal Sister E. Pedersen as D.P., for the* ensuing term. The Grand Secretary asked that certain information be forwarded* to him to be conveyed to the Dominion F.S.* Council, and the secretaTy reported that this has been done. The Grand Secretary forwarded information regarding « concession in xail fares fo delegates attending the Grand Lodge Biennial Conference to be held in Wellington. P.A. Sister " Pedersen was appointed delegate for the Lodge. The Bards xeported on the condition of sick membets. Four candidates -were proposed for membership. • It was decided to defer discussion on remits to the Grand Lodge Conference until next LodpS® night. Owing to the sitting A.D., Bro. Martin, resigning form the chair, P.A. Bro. A. Watson was unanimousiy elected to fill that office nntil the conclusjon of the current term. Considerable informal discussion took place on the recent Ritual Competition. All speakers stressed the' point that they were in no way quibbling over, the result, but several .members, eonsidered that the judging was not uniform and that the interpretation of • the Ritual was vastly different. in other districts." A number of points will probably be referred to the next meeting of the R.A.C. for their rulings. ■ Supper was served by the social com-. mittee after the meeting.
