Boardman (Napier) in an exiiibition swim at the Napier Municipal Baths last night during a swimmmg carnival in which the. Napier and Dannevirke Swimming . Clubs competed for the Albert Jensen Gup. An attempt to lower the existing 25 yards junior girls' free-style record was made by Miss Rona King, but slie failed by one-fifth of a second. ' A > large ' attendance at the baths saw Napier defeafc Dannevirke for the trophy by 74 points to 71. The performances of fhe various competitors was most satisfactory. M.any .of the finishe's were exoiting, and— most important of all — the wet weather held off to enable the meeting to be one of the most successful held in Napier this season. At the conclusion of the ovening the visitors were entertained at supper by the Napier Swimming Club in its own ciub-room.
