STARR-BOWKETT

A general meeting of shareholdors of the Hastings Starr-Bowkett Building Society was held last evening, Mr E. T. Gifford presiding, Appropriations amounting to £1500 were held. The first business .to be transaeted was a sale of £5 00 in No. 5 issue, but as no bids were forthcoming the loan was disposed of by means of the ballofc box and resulted in favour of group No. 80. A further appropriation in the same issue, a baJlot for £500, went to group No. 66. A sale of £500 in the sixth issue realised £28 per centum.
