Power Board to Extend Lines NEGOTIATIONS COMPLETEQ ln pursUance of the decision it reached several months ago>s to earry out extensions. of lines and Other Work in various parts of its area, th® Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board has now contpleted negotiations for a loan of £80,000, to be acquired as desired. The loan' is to be obtained from the Bank Of New Zealand at 4£ per cent. interest, and will be manipulated by hypotheeation of debentures. The Local Government Loans Board has atipulated that 'the following amounts shall be repaid each year: — End of first year, £4000; second year, £5000; third year, £6000; fourth year, £7000; fifth year, £8000. "There will be no • difficulty in complying with this stipulation for at least the first .two years, and, if difficulty is experienced later, application. to vary the terms will be made," reported th# board's secretary-manager, Mr H. Wylie, at yesterday 's meeting.
