Christchurch Arrangements BOTTLES 'AND STRAWS

OHRISTCHURGH, Last Night. A contract for the supply of milk to children attending schools in and near the city has been let by th# Government and arrangements are being made by the Mayor, Mr J. W. Beanland, to set up a committee to co-oper-ate with the contracting company in supervising the supply. Seventy-two schools will be served and the daily delivery will be 1200 gallons. The milk will be pasteurised and each child will be given a halfpint bottle and straw to drink through. No charge will be made to parents and the service will begin on Mdrch 1.
